Gravitas Lands Documentary About Legendary Fly Fisherman, ‘Live The Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys’
WASHINGTON, DC August 10, 2019 – Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, has acquired Worldwide rights for “Live The Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys,” the award-winning feature documentary about one of the last living legends in the fly fishing world today.
“Live The Stream” chronicles the life story of (now) 90 year-old Joe Humphreys as he teaches and uses the sport of fly fishing to build a greater respect for our environment. With stunning cinematography and a moving soundtrack, the emotional and inspiring film is far more than fly fishing: it’s a beautiful love story about life.

“Live The Stream” is Directors Lucas and Meigan Bell’s first feature film and the first fly fishing doc of its kind. It proves that one man’s passion for the outdoors can positively influence so many. The film had its world premiere at Breckenridge Film Festival winning Best Adventure Film and an Audience Award. It also screened at the Heartland International, RiverRun International Film Festivals and more, including winning Best Documentary and the Audience Award at the Reading Film Festival.
“Live The Stream: The Story of Joe Humphreys” is produced by Nomadic Studio. Nick Royak, manager of acquisitions, from Gravitas negotiated the deal with the filmmakers. The feature doc will have a global digital release on November 5, 2019 on iTunes, home video and other platforms and available to pre-order on iTunes on October 6.
